Exploration of cultural relations between France and the Americas from early modern colonial encounters to 21st-century perspectives on diversity and multiculturalism.
This course is for any student interested in cultural relations between the French-speaking world and the Americas, including current or prospective majors/minors in French and Francophone Studies, American Studies, Global Studies, Comparative Literature and related fields. No prerequisites. *Taught in English. Counts for FREN minor/major.
